POPSApple iPhone or Rogers iPhoney Canada is being ripped off by Rogers the only telecom-carrier in the country. The poor Canadians are being offered an inferior iPhone plan (with phoney alternative choices) for something even the people in Mexico can afford with better service.

POPSA Boy the Bullies Love to Beat Up, Repeatedly It is time that education authorities should aim for educating the character of the child and not leave it up to the parents or religion alone. IQ is rated too high, especially when looking for a job. CQ (Character Quotient) should be given more importance than IQ. Perhaps Columbine High could have been avoided

POPSLife must go on in Gaza and Sderot Amidst all the politico-moral posturizing in the UN and in the media, this blogspot shows that there are still 2 human beings left in this whole pile of international crap. These two people should get a Nobel Prize somehow for showing the rest of the world what it is really all about. A great blogspot. A great petition they have set up.

POPSRare Helen Keller Photo With two of her five senses gone Helen shows that personality and its strength still remains. I wonder how the materialist philosophers can explain this?

POPSEU Fines Microsoft $1.3 Billion Right from the start (DOS version 3 - 6.2) I have always maintained that Microsoft is the worst that's ever happened to the free world. It has done nothing but to programme its profits all the way down the line. Who needs Osama Bin Laden when we have Microsoft!! (Shades of the Matrix....). A pity that this decree only pertains to Europe. The rest of the world still has to bear the excesses of this "ugly" American.

POPSWho is the saintliest? Hard to tell. I suppose one could say, though, that Bill Gates is one of God's instruments which He uses for re-distributing some of the "programmed" profits gained out of some of the bloatware produced by MS.

POPSSynthetic DNA on the Brink of Yielding New Life Forms I*ve always thought that the Intelligent Design-Darwinism brouhaha was just a waste of time. Looks like natural selection is about to lose. Human beings are now going to throw away the shackles of "natural selection" and to design its own mode of evolving. But of course we now have a moral issue which not only the religionists nor the atheists can solve.

POPSSaudi King 'pardons rape victim' What is there to comment? This lascivious sex-starved woman forced herself upon these seven honourable men with the intention of raping them all. Tsktsk, eh? One more clip for the IAHMR squad.

POPSAnnihilation of Infidels is the Goal of Radical Islamists Vijay Ayyagari is an awesome commentator. He is precise, unequivocal, and factual. He has made it clear that he is apolitical in his concern about the issue he has accurately assessed in his article. I am for what Mr. Ayyagari has pointed out here: this is an issue of survival. It is not an American party political issue to be tossed around in the noisy, provincial market of American feverish electioneering. To criticize his article from the point of view of the GOP/Dem party political brouhaha is to diminish Mr. Ayyagari's intent and value of his words. Unless we realize what we are about to lose my only advice is go and buy a Qur'an and a prayer-mat, join a fitnes-club to exercise your knee-caps for eventual multi-genuflections a day (I think at least four times a day) to Allah when Jihadism takes over.

POPSThe Unreality Circus Waiting for an organ may be like playing for the lottery, but does this justify turning situations like life-and-death into public "entertainment"? We are horrified with the lions and Christians in the Roman arena of the old days, but we, who should be more "enlightened", are now being enlightened by Mr. Laurens Drillich. The keywords here are: "super controversial", much attention, plenty profits, yes? Yes!

POPSEnd of a messiah. She's lucky they're just ignoring her now. I know of one messiah that got crucified. I sympathize with her for her loss, but soldiers nowadays are no longer student conscripts. The "peace" movement she grew out of had reasons, and very good ones, in the Vietnam War because most of those dying were students conscripted for a war that was started by the darling of the Democrats: JFK. (By the way, I'm not a Republican, in case someone's thinking I am.) Her son was a warrior, or so he thought anyway, and so he became a highly-trained professional. She should not have allowed her son to become one. She did. He died. And Bush is to blame? Alone? All I can say is that there are others who have had sons and daughters killed in this war. They believed in the war. They were hurt by her messianic complaints and she got the publicity and attention. What about those who remained silent because what they believed in was not trendy and politically wise for the moment?

POPSAre we rally beating commercial brainwashing? Why don't the ad-men get wise. Graduated TV should be introduced. Those who allow commercials on their TV should be allowed free TV. Those who want to see only half of the commercials get to pay half-price for their TV. And those who want no brainwashing should pay for their TV viewing. That way, everyone will be happy - including the product hawkers.
