POPSHaida Gwaii, Traditional Circle of Elders Great Spirit, let me accept and see all things as equals. "People are equal partners with the plants and animals, not their masters who exploit them." The Great Spirit has placed everything on earth that man, animal and plants would ever need to survive, it is only man that takes more than he needs, most time giving nothing back to the earth. The animals and plants have been exploited by man for hundreds of years, I would say thousands, but that would be inaccurate. The white man has corrupted and devastated the First Peoples of this world so much in the past (600) six hundred years, that even the majority of them have lost their understanding of this world. We as human beings must reach out to our Elders and regain the knowledge and understanding our ancestors had towards this world, as caretakers, not destroyers. Cougar

POPSTraditional Circle of Elders, Navajo-Hopi, Joint Use Area Great Spirit, teach me Your Laws, so I may others that follow. "The Natural Law will prevail regardless of man-made laws, tribunals and governments." The Great Spirit taught us to follow the Natural Law, to live in peace and harmony, to never take more than you need from this earth, to share what you have with others, to honor the land, he did not write these laws on stone slabs, but placed them within our hearts and minds. POPSOren Lyons, Onondaga Ever since man came about on the earth, man has always changed things, even if it is one small thing, the effect is like a ripple in a pond it just keeps going causing changes. Today man has changed the world so much that if he doesn't stop there will be nothing left for our children except ruin. Cougar
