POPSIt’s daylight science time again I remember taking my kids and grand to the school bus stop in the dark after the switch. It's great having more light in the evening. I don't like driving in the evening or at night, so I can stay out and do more without having to worry about rushing home when everyone is going home from work.

POPSUS Foreclosures Give Homeless Temporary Homes The foreclosure rate in most major U.S. cities is reaching epidemic proportions. Where I live there are 600 foreclosures per month. The homeless are taking advantage of this unfortunate event in finding temporary shelter (sometimes with water and electricity still connected). This can be deadly when they use candles for light and start a fire, or drugs or prostitution rings set up there, which attract the police.

The big news stories were how many people that were stuck in elevators and how many babies were born 9 months later. Times have changed!

POPSThe Official Kilogram Is Loosing Weight When this weight standard was made it was high tech, but now they have to rethink the standard. The article states: "One of the leading alternatives considered for a 21st-century kilogram is a sphere made out of a Silicon-28 isotope crystal, which would involve a single type of atom and have a fixed mass. We could obviously use a better definition,"

POPSCan you Give Up Your Supersized Life? I have envied my grandparents and their frugal but full and happy lives all my life. Nothing went to waste .. things were cherished and appreciated. Most thought of their neighbors in a helpful, kind way. Nothing like most of the people I have dealt with in this day and age!
