Caffeine is a drug and you need to be very careful about drug and alcohol intake (among other things) during the first trimester of pregnancy when the fetus is forming. Morning sickness is good was a surprise! "the same hormonal changes that cause nausea and vomiting contribute to a healthy pregnancy." This story broke back in 2001, and I'm glad to read that there has been some progress in addressing this atrocity. But as can be seen by this quote from the article there is still money talking in these decisions.
