    Republican Re-Education Camps?
    Jorjor
    by Jorjor  5-7-2009    1
MN Representative Michelle Bachmann (Schlockmann?) went ballistic and called AmeriCorps a system of "re-education" camps". It turns out that Rush and his GOP butt-kissers are the ones actually talking about "re-education". Those will be the placces where the staff uniforms include flip-flops. You have to give Cantor credit for having a spine more flexible than a cat's. Back in 1960, people were worried that a Democratic win would mean a White House controlled by the Vatican. It would seem that the Republicans are being controlled from a radio studio in Palm Beach Florida.

What Did Rush Limbaugh Do After His Speech to CPAC?

Consumed 14 gallons of high-octane gasoline to ready himself for cross-country run. Argued long and loud with penguins in Washington Zoo. Eventually adopted many of the birds' more salient political points. Flew over Georgetown District for one whole minute courtesy of own makeshift "human crossbow" device. Attempted to singlehandedly build Tower of Babel in National Mall using inferior "Mega Blocks" as opposed to far more acceptable "Lego" bricks. Rubbed himself provocatively against trees, traffic cops. Spun around in circle all night in attempt to reverse earth's rotation. Repeatedly bellowed, "Rush shall have thee!" to every attractive woman on sidewalk.

The source goes on to say: Some senators stifled their laughter as Sen. Charlie Dean, an Inverness Republican, explained that husbandry is raising and caring for animals. Bullard didn't get it. ''So that maybe was the reason the lady was so upset about that monkey?'' Bullard asked, referring to a Connecticut case where a woman's suburban chimpanzee went mad and was shot.

With Republican running so far behind the Democratic Party in fundraising, it's no wonder the $150,000 spent on Sarah Palin's wardrobe caused a big fuss. However, the GOP has been making a lot of questionable purchases including a thousand 11-ounce chocolate elephants.

Barry Goldwater's Granddaughter: Why McCain Has Lost Our Vote
    Jorjor
    by Jorjor  10-23-2008    1
Also from the source: My grandfather (Paka) would never suggest denying a woman's right to choose. My grandmother co-founded Planned Parenthood in Arizona in the 1930's, a cause he supported. I'm not sure about how he would feel about marriage based on same-sex orientation. I think he would feel that love and respect for ones privacy is what matters most, not the intolerance and poor judgment displayed by McCain over the years. Paka respected our civil liberties and passed on the message that that we should conduct our lives standing up for the basic freedoms we hold so dear. Nothing about McCain, except for maybe a uniform, compares to the same ideology of what Goldwater stood for as a politician. The McCain/Palin plan is to appear diverse and inclusive, using women and minorities to push an agenda that makes us all financially vulnerable, fearful, and less safe. Nothing about the Republican ticket offers the hope America needs to regain its standing in the world

For the record, it's John Sidney McCain III and Sarah Louise Heath Palin. Gee..."Heath"...does that mean she's a heathen? And Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. The investigation, though, is not for what Sheriff Scott said, but that he was speaking ex cathedra as a law enforcement official, by virtue of the fact that he was in uniform and on duty at the time he spoke. Had he been in civvies and on his own time, it wouldn't be an issue.
