About me
My current avatar: Movie teaser poster for upcoming Star Trek XI movie (rumored to be a prequel) coming in 2008.

=============================================

"Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations represents a belief that beauty, growth, and progress all result from the union of the unlike. Concord, as much as discord, requires the presence of at least two different notes. IDIC is an ideal based on learning to delight in our essential differences, as well as learning to recognize our similarities." ~ Star Trek
Why I use Clipmarks
Many people I know belong to several bookmarking or other social networking sites. Not me. While there are great sites out there, I rather focus on one site. You can go "deeper" into one site or "wider" across the internet. There are not enough hours in a day for me to actively work on more than one site. If I had any more time, I would spend it writing my own blog. This is the next best thing.

Clipmarks is democracy in action. Posts don't have to fit into one of the site's pre-defined channels. You can make your own channel. Your posts and comments are not "edited" or "removed" (although I'm sure there is appropriate monitoring for possible mis-use). I have noticed that all sides of the conversation are given equal expression. There is no editorial slant or favoritism. Sure there is debate on certain hot topics, but the discussion does not sink to the juvenile levels I have seen on other sites.

Happy Clipmarking!

Ravisagna Recipe: Ravioli-Lasagna Combo (talk about del.icio.us!)
JimEspo
by JimEspo  11-25-2006    1
 1 lb lean ground beef 1/2 c minced onion 1 garlic clove minced 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp oregano Salt & pepper, to taste 12 oz frozen (not thawed) ravioli 1 jar tomato sauce 8-oz provolone, sliced 1/2 c grated Parmesan Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Brown beef with the optional onion, garlic, herbs, salt & pepper in a large, ovenproof skillet (ie, castiron). When the meat is thoroughly cooked -- 8 to 10 minutes -- drain off any fat and take everything out of the pan. Now put the still-frozen ravioli into the pan, breaking them up if they are clumped. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the ravioli, and ladle the sauce evenly over the ground beef mixture. Over medium heat, without stirring, cook until the ravioli is heated through and beginning to brown on the bottom -- about 10 minutes. Take the skillet off the heat, lay the provolone slices over the ground beef mixture, and sprinkle the whole thing with the Parmesan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Se

First Holy Communion on the Moon
JimEspo
by JimEspo  11-15-2006    2
 I did not know this. Whatever your faith, you have to appreciate Aldrin's commitment to his and what he considered important. In his words, "...I gave thanks for the intelligence and spirit that had brought two young pilots to the Sea of Tranquility. It was interesting for me to think: the very first liquid ever poured on the moon, and the very first food eaten there, were the communion elements."
