About me
I’m a 31 year old mother of four. I’m an artist, an amateur photographer, a bit of a web designer, a writer and so much more. I don’t believe in laying back and letting life happen to you and I never want to say that I didn’t try everything I ever wanted to do.

As a child I dreamed of being the pretty grrl that everyone talked about but I also wanted to be real. Sadly I was the geek that got hit in the face with the ice balls. No more. I am finally me and proud to be just that.

Blogging and showcasing my works on my own website is therapeutic for me. No secrets. Nothing to hide. Being so visible on the web gives me a chance at true freedom and it is my hope that in baring myself, my soul - I can help others who may feel or may have felt lost, scared, depressed or even just “different”.

Different is beautiful.
Different is special.
Different is real.

I talk to everyone and I adore people in general - the good, the bad and the ugly. I have a severe chronic illness that has almost killed me three times so far but I’m a survivor and I’m still standing. I’m going to reach for the moon babies and even if I never get to touch it - I still won because I had the courage to try.

I am friend, sister, mother, lover, wife and above all I am:
“SURVIVOR”

I dunno, it could be useful for something...I think its kinda neat anyhow..I wonder about those super ultra sheer polyurethane condoms? I can't afford an underwater lens for my camera but wouldn't this create a neat effect for artistic purposes? Call it gross but even a vaseline sheen over the rubber. Could be a really cool effect.

A real gender bender...

How did this not come out sooner? I was under the impression that most US jails and prisons at the very least stripped the prisoners before admittance. Canadian jails do - even our county jails...Certainly most jails do a simple physical check-up before they lock away the prisoners? If not - after this - they should.

Guns for Games

by JeannieGrrl  3-28-2007
I had a friend back in school who grew up in the Mexican barrrios. He told me that many of the youth only did the crimes so that they could someday have the things that they dreamed of. In this day and age I can see a teenage boy dreaming of an XBox. So far the program seems to be flying - lets hope it keeps up. Its not a cure but anything that gets even one kid out of trouble is A OK in MY book.

Clubbing Seal Hunt Myths
JeannieGrrl
by JeannieGrrl  3-25-2007
I have to comment that this is about bloody time if you'll pardon the expression. The activists have been flaunting videos taken in the 80s when the Canadian seal hunts really were brutal and bloody. In theyears since - the hunts have become much more humane and in reality are a necessary part of life in the Canadian North. Different countries have different ways. People need to read the facts before they blindly judge because Paul McCartney says they should.

Antifreeze Murder
JeannieGrrl
by JeannieGrrl  3-24-2007    1
This is just ridiculous. The defense is trying to say she had nothing to do with death yet both men were intimately involved with her, both men were with her when they died, both men died of the same type of poisoning. Is it not fair to say that since she's already been proven gulity of one - she is likely responsible for both? Unless of course there are mate killing gremlins living in her sock drawer and then I truly do feel for her. The worst MY gremlins ever do is steal my coffee so that I try to gulp an empty cup and make myself look foolish.

How much is life worth?
JeannieGrrl
by JeannieGrrl  3-24-2007    3
This article makes me ill. Just what does he think women are? Did he not stop to think for even one minute that perhaps some women really have no choice but to terminate? Then there’s the issue of perhaps some damaged soul thinking its a free $500 and not even realizing the other consequences of the pregnancy. This is more devaluing (and demeaning) to the women and to the fetuses than an abortion could ever be. I can see his passion and what he thinks he’s doing but his ways are extremely insulting not to mention not very well thought out. Sometimes I’m proud to be a liberal.

This sickened me. Anyone who has been through it should be disgusted and outraged. There is no humour in this type of display and I'm happy to see that bluenotes has seen the err in their ways. This doesn't excuse the fact that they allowed it to happen in the first place but its heartening that they're willing to take responsibility.

I know its cheesy - I made it for him and posted it on my blog but he's the greatest man alive. He loves me no matter what. It sounds almost juvenile doesn't it? You'd have to be here to understand. I get really sick, a lot. He never loses hope, he never wavers. Without him I would be so empty. He's a great Dad, a great step-dad and a wonderful husband. He gets to be my first clip because he inspires everything I do.
