Greer says that it is time to start implementing your survival strategy now, or join what he calls the "New Okies". This kind of warning is very unlike the unflappable pragmatist I have come to know. Something has really freaked him out. Still our snow drops came out today.

Chinese economy records fastest growth since financial crisis erupted

All those bank loans for building unnecessary real estate and factories. The game is liable to switch from bank stimulous to bank bailouts, once the bubble bursts. The Chinese government saw what happened in Japan before the crash, and then the US, and they go and make exactly the same mistake. Why are economic policy makers, whatever their nationality, so stupid?

Top 10 Small Business Trends for 2010

    by JICWyllie  1-7-2010
In the 80s rescession, Charles Handy came of up the term "portfolio person" to describe how people would make a living. I have been advocating homeworking and the importance of the local economy (and local currencies) since then, too. As a content analyst, I have been advocating "analytical tool" for (self signifying) "data driven decisions" for even longer. And we are still a small business. But it looks like the opportunity to become a big business might be presenting itself. The data seems to be pointing that way (along with our order book).

I also emphasised the sCRM angle, as I wote a report a few years ago, called Beyond CRM which was about a new "buyer centric" economy.
