Make JICWyllie a Guide: follow clipper
About me
Business intelligence analyst, taxonomies expert, woodland owner, cyclist.
Why I use Clipmarks
Clipmarks is the first vital step towards the collaborative creation of a new level of metaknowledge enabling people to better understand the big picture. The next step is to use multifaceted taxonomies as the intellectual tools for collecting and organising the evidence on which metaknowledge is based.

The change required is much simpler, and costs no money. Just go on a spending strike and a travel strike. When money is short, its the time to stop spending (and borrowing), outside absolute necessities. Spend quality time on family and neighbors. Till some earth near you. Make it more fertile. Engage with nature.

U.S. and Canada on collision course over Arctic rights: U.S. official
JICWyllie
by JICWyllie  2-13-2008    1
The arctic should be part of the "common heritage of mankind". All governments should give up their claims and hand jurisdiction over to the UN. Otherwise, serious conflict / war and environmental destruction will be the consequences.

Harold Bloom: 'What We Are Seeing Is the Fall of America'
JICWyllie
by JICWyllie  1-16-2008    1
He sounds a lot like H G Wells in "A Man at the End of his Tether." I fear Facebook and (I fear) increasingly Clipmarks are both guilty of promoting a culture of celebrity and 'media-ocrity' which Harold Bloom abhors. It is regrettable because, as I have said before, Clipmarks (and so many of its Clippers) are capable of a higher quality of public attention to what matters.
