POPSWanna Bet? Not taking people seriously is one way to motivate others who were previously quiet. Thank you Mr. Axelrod.

POPSHow Will MSM Report THIS? It will either be ignored, rejected or ridiculed. Does anyone really think that the Obamaites will be fair or objective?

POPSJust Not the Answer For the USA Modeling a system on the UK or any European country just won't work here. Rationing, guidelines for docs to follow, the high cost...just three reasons to stop this nonsense. TORT REFORM FIRST!

POPSSo Now I'm A Terrorist... wow. Read the entire article - unless you are so totally in the pocket of the liberal left as to no longer think for yourself, you should be outraged. I know I am.

POPSDecline Month to Month The thing I like about Rasmussen Polls is that they only interview 'likely voters' -- and ask party affiliation. They break things down further on their site and it's really revealing.

POPSVan Jones - Green Jobs 'Czar' - Communist I've been reading more and more about this guy...and he scares me. No matter what role he plays in our government, the fact is, he's not elected, hasn't been appointed and then confirmed by the Congress. He's just 'THERE'. He has the President's ear. Of course, I previously clipped a piece about Obama's membership in the New Party. So maybe not just his ear - but his heart?

POPSAnother Power Grab? "Clinton, of the Internet Security Alliance, praised President Obama's May science policy review, which he said would take cybersecurity in the right direction by promoting incentives to get the private industry to improve its own security measures. But he faulted the Senate bill, which he said would centralize regulations for an industry that is too varied to fall under the control of a single set of rules without endangering the economy and security. "We think a lot of things need to be done to enhance cybersecurity," he told FOXNews.com, but this bill is "not something that we could support." " Here's my simple thought: At what point do we say 'stop'? At what point is the government taking things a step too far? When will Americans wake up?

POPSPerceptions of Obama by Likely Voters "It is important to remember that the Rasmussen Reports job approval ratings are based upon a sample of likely voters. Some other firms base their approval ratings on samples of all adults. President Obama's numbers are always several points higher in a poll of adults rather than likely voters. That's because some of the President's most enthusiastic supporters, such as young adults, are less likely to turn out to vote. Other factors are also important to consider when comparing Job Approval ratings from different polling firms. For more measures of the President's performance, see Obama By the Numbers and recent demographic highlights from the tracking polls. "

POPSLots of Money If Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security by themselves, required $41 trillion to be put aside in 2008 (and it wasn't of course) where will the money come for a 'public option'? These are UNFUNDED - meaning that the money comes directly out of your paychecks - not the general fund. But if fewer people are working, more people are retired and living longer than ever and programs such as Medicaid are used by illegals - where will the money come from? THIS is why we need to fight the current bills being shoved down our throats. THIS is why we can not be silent. THIS is why we need to get tax and spend and spend and spend liberals out of Washington.

POPSAnother Blast From the Past - March 2004 Just over 5 years ago, voters wanted smaller government and decreases in government spending. I'm not at all convinced that that has changed. "64% of Americans prefer smaller government with fewer services and lower taxes" Kinda opposite of what we're getting, huh?

POPSSmoke and Mirrors So the people who actually READ the 1000 page bill, just made it up? I've seen text straight from the bill in pretty straight-forward language that contradicts Obama's claims. When will they learn that just saying so don't make it so? When will they learn that not everyone is going to just follow along like little sheep?

POPSummm... How Much??? The numbers are so big, the amounts sound like Monopoly Money. Take a peek at your paycheck (if you get one) and let's say it's 4 figures for a 2 week span (good job!). Now add SIX more zeros. ($1,000.00 becomes $1,000,000,000.00). Now try to imagine that it's not what you make, but what you OWE. STOP! - slitting your wrists won't help. But voting out these idiots will.

POPSThe Health Care Cost Saving Myth Please read the entire article... it is well written with solid arguments.\ There is no way for any health care reform to be 'deficit neutral' and even the 'Gang of Six' has been quoted giving a figure of 'only' $900 billion estimated over 10 years.

POPSPelosi vs Obama Per Obama, public option is still optional. Per Pelsoi, there is no option to leave it out. Let's face it, Pelosi wants what she wants and woe to any who get in her way - Republicans OR Democrats. When will California get rid of this wanna be ruler?

POPS'Public Servant' My Butt So instead of calming people and listening to what they were saying, Frank decides to insult and argue with them. Has anyone noticed yet that the posters that are professionally produced belong to supporters, while the hand made signs belong to the 'mob'? Instead of ignoring, inflamming, and antagonizing the constituents that they are supposed to represent - ALL OF THEM - people like Frank should shut up and listen.

POPSIn Other Words.... "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" If the Democrats are so 'for the people' then why are they ignoring 'the people'? Deaf, dumb and blind but in 'control'. Jackass. The perfect symbol.

POPS2006 Revisited I especially love the 'pay as you go' idea... And I thought Obama was the originator of the 'no lobbyist' and tax increases for 'over $250K' earners. Don't ya just love history?

POPSGoose/Gander? Guess It's About Who's Cooked. This article pissed me off. But I was heartened by some of the comments. Some guy does up a poster expressing his opinion and I've seen it all over the place. Personally, I thought it was brilliant. No one had a problem with the anti-Bush, anti-Cheney cartoons and commentary... but I guess that was different. When was the last time - in your memory - that anyone, especially a kid, was taken into custody (but not 'arrested') for a political cartoon posted anywhere? Is satire dead? Is political commentary now a crime? Free speech is now a thing of the past? Or is it that we just can't disagree with the Chosen One? Well, they better come and get me because I don't like the guy, I sure as hell didn't vote for him or any of his cronies and I just might have to put this poster on my lawn.

POPSPelosi proudly un-American
"Yesterday morning USA Today ran an Op-Ed by Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, which for ease of discussion I will attribute to Pelosi. The title is ‘Un-American’ attacks can’t derail health care debate, which frankly I find amusing since I don’t recall a debate on that or any other subject this year, actually happening on Capitol Hill. She bounces back and forth between oooohing and aaaahing about how awesome (butterflies, rainbows, unicorns, fairy dust) government takeover of your personal health care decisions would be, and berating freedom-loving Americans (bad conservatives! Flyover country! Hitler! Astroturf! Limbaugh! Goblins!) for strongly expressing their opinions to their elected representatives, and oppressively running into union thug fists with their faces. She’s right about one thing: Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. As it happens, “drowning out opposing views” is an area of expertise for Speaker Pelosi. Special Orders after the last recorded vote of t

POPSMy Response to Sen. D. Stabenow (D-MI)
For the most part, my insurance coverage is catastrophic only. My portion of the premiums if I were to cover eligible members of my family would cost nearly 1/4 of my bi-weekly take home pay. Obviously, if a mortgage is only supposed to by 1/3 of your monthly salary, then insurance premiums are nearly the price of a good-sized house. Adding to the 'ranks of the uninsured' is the fact of a 14.2% unemployment rate - of which my husband is one. He doesn't qualify for unemployment insurance so he isn't even counted. So, why are my premiums so high? First, because malpractice insurance for my physicians is totally out of control due to frivolous law suits, huge legal fees and the costs associated with trying even a small case. The judge, clerks, bailiffs, secretaries, etc...all have to be paid - by me, the taxpayer. Because of the need to cover themselves, doctors are forced to order complicated, often if not always expensive and sometimes unnecessary tests and procedures. Ev

POPSOne Small County In Michigan Ilsadago1 wrote: "coffeesnob wrote:" "In the year 2000: 85,000 people died (alcohol related) 17,000 people died (ALL illicit drugs usage combined) What is not "realistic" about that? Numbers are numbers, dead people are dead people." It's not always about how many deaths there are. It's the crimes committed to get, make, distribute and buy the drugs. It's the children permanently made ill by inhaling the fumes produced by a meth lab. It's the cost of medical, dental, substance abuse and mental health care. It's about the loss of employment, inability to care for children financially, hunger, homelessness and lack of basic needs. It's the lengths people will go to to feed the habit - it's not about getting 'high', it's about not getting dope sick. They will do ANYTHING to not get 'sick'. Death is the least of the problems.

POPSDoctors Demand Apology From Obama Of course, no one in the media is reporting this in favor focusing on the 'race issue'. The news conference on Wednesday night lasted an hour. Many things were said - but still no actual facts or figures. We still don't know what the "PLAN" looks like or will actually cost. We DO know that Obama has no problem speaking out of turn on topics he knows nothing about. Like the 'acted stupidly' comment, he misrepresented and maligned another group in America - Doctors. In truth, I don't mind him making ridiculous statements. They prove that he is ill-equipped to tackle these issues and uninformed about the facts. I'm tired of all the liberal cheer-leading... I want the truth. Is the health system in trouble? Yep. Is government run health care the answer? Let me introduce you to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. My answer is Nope.
