Congress will have to address all of these issues when it crafts the next transportation bill." However, I do NOT agree with a vehicle mileage tax. What I'd like to see is corporate welfare and war profiteering abolished. That ought to free up some funds to invest in ourselves for a change.

POPSArgentinian ice bridge collapse The article clipped was written on Tue 8 jul. The bridge collapsed around 1120am local time on Wednesday. This site has some more pictures. http://english.people.com.cn/90001/90781/90879/6446698.html The bridge is part of a glacier, that has been known to collapse in summer, and refreeze in winter. Now it is collapsing in what is the middle of the southern hemispheres winter. There is a link in the clip to live footage of the bridge. POPSBridge Structural Problems Known America's infrastructure is aging and in need of lots of work. The reports and studies on this bridge pointed to problems, and these problems had been known and ignored for a long time. It will be interesting to see where the chain of responsibility goes, and then look at which political party members were in that decision chain. My guess is there has been a lot of pandering and contract letting to minorities and other liberal practices.

POPSWhen Will the Next Bridge Collapse? Oops. Just the money needed to rebuild infrastructure, spent on killing Iraqis and fancy military hardware. What a bummer. Might stop people driving cars, though, if road bridges are prone to collapse and that would IMHO be a very good thing. It's much safer to stay home.
