Turkey to include Animal Rights in new Constitution
    Gul Agha
    by Gul Agha  9-29-2007
At least two other countries have constitutional provisions dealing with aspects of animal rights. Bhutan, the only officially Buddhist country in the world, has included a provision giving animals in nature the same rights as humans (thus protecting forests which belong to the wildlife). In officially secular India there is a provision protecting cows (but not other animals).
