POPSTreason Committed Against The Sacred Motherland Should Be Punished, Comrades!
Only a dictatorial wanna-be could propose something like this, but the problem is that Washington is filled with such power-hungry simpletons. I have a few questions for our Hugo Chavez: Who will determine what is "in the public interest" and what "community needs and opinions" are? How will the FCC prevent "community advisory boards" from becoming de facto station managers since their reports, and the FCC summaries that will follow, could result in losing a license? I'll give you a specific example: On a national Christian radio station several years ago, I was taken to task by a Christian host, even though my newspaper and name were not mentioned; however, if memory serves me correctly, this host said something like "a newspaper in Eureka in Northern California" was allowing a Muslim (horror of horrors) to publish a column. Although his intolerance of Islam led to a repugnant and unfair attack on me and the columnist, who is a very devout man, I would defend to the dea

POPSDeafening Silence From Iranians About Pogrom Against Bahais Inspires Appeal
"Iranian-born Khosro Shemiranie's account was so articulate that I'm sure it will be preserved for many generations because of its humanitarian appeal. We cannot say that we were not warned." It's worth pointing out that Shemiranie is not a Bahá'í, yet he recognizes the deafening silence that comes from Iran -- once an advanced civilization that has fallen into the depths of darkness that it will hopefully recover from. "What causes astonishment is the silence of the society – a society which at times actively collaborates with these barbaric deeds. "It is no secret that what has befallen the followers of the Bahá'í Faith in Iran has often come about through our own hands. In response to every authority that issued an order or every akhund that produced a religious verdict, tens, hundreds, nay, thousands, of us proceeded to perpetrate harm upon the Bahá'ís and on occasions reddened our hands with their blood. But, why? "The collaboration of various sectors of society with t

POPSThe Five Pillars I have a soft spot in my heart for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, a religion whose members are often murdered in some countries. Their mosque in London is a beautiful testament to their beliefs. On this clip, it talks about Islam's Five Pillars and obedience to God. I, as a Westerner, have much to learn from the Ahmaidis, especially those whom I know and respect, the most devout being Professor Abdul Aziz in California.

POPSBaitul Futuh Mosque Despite the increasing threat to Muslims from hateful individuals and groups in Europe, they remain a vital moral force, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's Baitul Mosque is an example of their worthy efforts that should lead to further positive relationships among religions.

POPSPersecution of Buddhists When religion and terrorism mix, they are even more dangerous than either taken together. In other words, the sum of the parts are more deadly than any part taken alone.

POPSAHMADI MUSLIM MURDERED IN PAKISTAN Ahmadis still suffer persecution and this is wrong. Human-rights supporters need to support this religious minority. In Islam, religious minorities should be protected, so why are self-professed Muslims murdering them?

POPSIslamic Organization's Open Letter To President Ignores Inequality, Oppression In its letter, the OIC said, "... Islam is a religion of peace. Tolerance is its benchmark and borne of the very nature of Islam." I believe that is what The Prophet Muhammad taught, yet it is not what most Islamic ecclesiastical authorities (ayatollahs, caliphs, imams and mullahs) have preached, certainly not since the Bahá'í Faith started in the mid-1800s. Its origin was met with one of the most-gruesome persecutions known to humans. So much for words about tolerance; let's see deeds. I suggest the OIC act as Islam dictates and that is to protect all religious minorities. Again, message to the OIC: "... Let deeds, not words be your adorning."

POPSGoebbels Would Embrace Islamic Oppression What is unfortunate is that the Cairo declaration is actually a subservient document to the true intent of the OIC: to force Shari'ah upon the citizens of each of its member states and the world beyond as these leaders see Islam as the answer to the challenges of today's world. If want to know the names of the OIC's member states, here they are. Look closely at them and you will see some of the most-oppressive, corrupt, criminal and ungodly governments ever known to inhabit the face of this Earth.
