POPSDeafening Silence From Iranians About Pogrom Against Bahais Inspires Appeal
"Iranian-born Khosro Shemiranie's account was so articulate that I'm sure it will be preserved for many generations because of its humanitarian appeal. We cannot say that we were not warned." It's worth pointing out that Shemiranie is not a Bahá'í, yet he recognizes the deafening silence that comes from Iran -- once an advanced civilization that has fallen into the depths of darkness that it will hopefully recover from. "What causes astonishment is the silence of the society – a society which at times actively collaborates with these barbaric deeds. "It is no secret that what has befallen the followers of the Bahá'í Faith in Iran has often come about through our own hands. In response to every authority that issued an order or every akhund that produced a religious verdict, tens, hundreds, nay, thousands, of us proceeded to perpetrate harm upon the Bahá'ís and on occasions reddened our hands with their blood. But, why? "The collaboration of various sectors of society with t

POPSRoya Hakakian Prescient When She Wrote 'Then They Came for the Bahai' In Iran
Roya Hakakian said, "The current Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has taken a page from Khomeini’s book. He rails against Israel. He denies the Holocaust. Through these means he focuses all attention on Jews, and while the world remains perfectly oblivious his men assault the Bahá'ís. "Since Ahmadinejad’s election to presidency, there has been a sharp rise in anti-Bahá'í literature in government-sponsored journals, which has, in turn, led to a rise in gang attacks against the community. "That the Bahá'ís shy away, per religious mandate, from advocacy on their own behalf surrounds their predicament with even greater silence. "But for those in the West — especially for Jews, who know the lessons of World War II — the plight of the Iranian Bahá'ís is most urgent: It is an act of destruction, not simply promised, but already under way." Although some self-professed Muslims violate their own faith and insult in the filthiest and most-vile of ways the Prophet Muhammad

POPSHow Can Americans Tolerate Death Factories And Now Allow Infanticide?
If you accept that life is sacred and begins at conception, then you cannot morally justify abortion as a form of birth control. Despite the rare but understandable medical necessity of an abortion, the overwhelming number of abortions result from "unwanted" pregnancies. Such defenseless creations should be protected by the strictest human-rights protections, yet to humanity's consummate shame, the barbarity and unjustifiably of abortion -- as a form of birth control -- has become an unprecedented homicidal campaign responsible for exterminating approximately 50 million human beings in America alone since 1973. Globally, the number of abortions is mind-numbing; in fact, the number of those killed by abortion worldwide in the past century dwarf the combined deaths that resulted from communism, fascism and Nazism (national socialism). Now Americans find themselves confronting infanticide, according to an article published by Catholic Online. It is profound arrogance that a

POPSDogma-Driven Duplicity Leads Present-Day 'Journalism' To Its Deceptive Depths I've had the refreshing opportunity to work with reporters who have admitted their biases, yet risen above their own opinions to write thorough and fair stories in which their personal biases could not be detected. Journalism will survive its present-day descent into its deceptively biased and dogmatically dominated depths and one day honor what the Founding Fathers memorialized in the Bill of Rights; however, when that day will occur is the question.

POPSAHMADI MUSLIM MURDERED IN PAKISTAN Ahmadis still suffer persecution and this is wrong. Human-rights supporters need to support this religious minority. In Islam, religious minorities should be protected, so why are self-professed Muslims murdering them?

POPSIslamic Organization's Open Letter To President Ignores Inequality, Oppression In its letter, the OIC said, "... Islam is a religion of peace. Tolerance is its benchmark and borne of the very nature of Islam." I believe that is what The Prophet Muhammad taught, yet it is not what most Islamic ecclesiastical authorities (ayatollahs, caliphs, imams and mullahs) have preached, certainly not since the Bahá'í Faith started in the mid-1800s. Its origin was met with one of the most-gruesome persecutions known to humans. So much for words about tolerance; let's see deeds. I suggest the OIC act as Islam dictates and that is to protect all religious minorities. Again, message to the OIC: "... Let deeds, not words be your adorning."

POPSGoebbels Would Embrace Islamic Oppression What is unfortunate is that the Cairo declaration is actually a subservient document to the true intent of the OIC: to force Shari'ah upon the citizens of each of its member states and the world beyond as these leaders see Islam as the answer to the challenges of today's world. If want to know the names of the OIC's member states, here they are. Look closely at them and you will see some of the most-oppressive, corrupt, criminal and ungodly governments ever known to inhabit the face of this Earth.
