POPSTV Deal 'Fuelling Football Spending Frenzy' The economy of the English Premier League is so finely balanced, and so dependent on broadcast revenue, many people think there has to be some correction towards long-term sustainability soon, or the risk is a complete restructuring of how the game is organized; based on financial rather than performance criteria. A European superleague? who knows. If the broadcasters want it, they'll get it.

POPS50 Greatest Football Managers Excellent list. Bound to agitate pretty much everyone! In terms of domestic achievement Stan Cullis should probably be on there, and Kenny Dalglish certainly deserves inclusion. I'm biased, but surely Bill Nicholson should be higher! But the overriding point about the dearth of good English managers - and the fact that this is likely to continue for the foreseeable future - is spot on.
