McCain Gets Tech-y With Twitter, BlackBerry
    Elizabeth Woyke
    by Elizabeth Woyke  2-26-2009
The world has been closely tracking President Obama's BlackBerry use. But did you know that Senator John McCain has been Tweeting and rocking a BlackBerry since January? McCain mostly writes about his work schedule and media appearances, but occasionally gets more personal, like his happy birthday shout-out to fellow senator Joe Lieberman earlier this week.

    John McCain And His BlackBerry
    Elizabeth Woyke
    by Elizabeth Woyke  9-16-2008    1
To be fair, John McCain is a dedicated BlackBerry user--check out the photo above. (He goes for the consumer-friendly Curve.) And it appears that his adviser merely said he helped promote telecom advances, not that he invented one of the world's most iconic phones. Even so, I wonder what they're saying up in Waterloo about this.

That's what some Congressmen are arguing at the DNC. Obama's recent text-messaging campaign has given him a tech-savvy halo, but will he continue such strategies if elected?

Clinton, Obama, McCain, Etc. on Tech
    Elizabeth Woyke
    by Elizabeth Woyke  1-7-2008
Where do the candidates stand on tech issues? Clinton, Edwards, McCain, Obama and Paul are all vaguely supportive of network neutrality. McCain also cites digital divide policy. Romney, Huckabee, Giuliani, Thompson, Richardson and Biden didn't respond to queries. Check out CNET's tech voters' guide for more insights.
