POPSThe Real Fat Cats Are Not on Wall Street Why should PUBLIC Employees make almost twice as much as their private sector counterparts? After all it is OUR MONEY they are using to pay themselves. Think about it the next time our taxes are increased. They cry POVERTY and NO MONEY and yet they continue to HIRE new employees and increase their pay rate at twice the inflation rate. When was the last time you got a pay raise at TWICE the inflation rate? Do you get an automatic COST OF LIVING increase every year? I think not. Time to give all these public employees pink slips. These public employees are not exactly feeding from the dumpsters around town either. They are treating themselves to the best of everything.

Okay folks it is time for some straight talk. We the people need to take back our country from the thieves and robber barons occupying capital hill. We can not longer sit back and allow this outrageous behavior to continue. We need to get to the polls and vote out all the incumbents and replace them with FISCAL conservatives and strict constitutional candidates. This country was made great by adhering to the founding principles outlined in the Constitution which safeguards the rights of the citizenry, and restricts the powers of the federal government. Today as we watch the daily newscasts we are being assalted by an out of control federal government with an insatiable appetite for more and more of our hard earned money which they squander on useless pork barrel projects designed to buy votes and nothing else. IN addition they continually vote themselves hefty pay increases and benefit packages and then give us the bill. It is high time congress gets a pay cut!

POPSPostal Employees Paid to Do Nothing I do not know about where you work, but where I work when the company does not have any work for me I do not work and I do not get paid. Unless of course I happen to qualify for unemployment benefits which pays me about 1/3 of what I would make if I actually worked. To add insult to injury, the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is now going to BAIL OUT the post office and FORCE US TO PAY these idle workers OUT OF OUR HARD EARNED MONEY. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! And then we wonder why taxes continue to climb while those of us who actually make this country work continue to have to cut back and struggle to make ends meet.

Because if it wasn't for the public sector unions, and the stimulus money coming to states to save jobs, this economy would not just be in a so-called recession, we'd be at the bottom of the abyss. It's actually the stimulus money that has saved part of the economy and kept that sector going while in fact the private sector has declined because there's no credit as you well know in the private sector, and jobs have been lost like crazy. Did you hear that? What he said was we the people (taxpayer) are paying PUBLIC employees TO KEEP THEIR JOBS while we the people (taxpayer) are loosing ours. Sound about right does it?

POPSHey Look Here! Spending Cuts! Get out your magnifying glass. This one is going to be hard to see. To think the government actually hails this farce as an actual attempt to curb spending. When is the American public going to wake up. It is time we call for some REAL SUBSTANCE and not Rhetoric. He talks a good game but like most of Obama's other policies this is a graphical representation of how lame Obama's attempts really are to address any real problems.

POPSObama Criticizes Critics in Op-Ed Okay let me try to understand our well-spoken President. I may not be as highly educated as he is but I think I can make out what the man is trying to say. Oh yes he is just a man he is not a god. Anyway he says tax cuts alone will not help our crisis. Okay so what do you propose TAX HIKES? I agree tax cuts alone do it all but they sure worked every time they were tried in the past. If we couple tax cuts with SPENDING CUTS VIOLA we may have a winner there. But no that is not Obama's plan either. He wants to SPEND SPEND SPEND and then TAX TAX TAX that should do the trick right? Well it did not work when Jimmy Carter tried it nor did it work when FDR did it. I doubt it will work now but Obama does not listen to WE THE PEOPLE. Over 55% of America does not support this PORK PLAN out of Washington yet OBAMA rejects that advice. I guess we elected a KING he sure does like to pass a lot of edicts.

Since being elected America has indeed gone in a new direction STRAIGHT DOWN. The Dow has gone down, consumer confidence has gone down,m retirement plans have gone down, employment has gone down, and the dollar has gone down in value. Way to go Barak. You surely are bringing America CHANGE. Pocket change. To be fair some things have gone up as well. DEFICIT GOVERNMENT SPENDING has gone through the roof. And before long TAXES will be sure to go up. SO HOPE AND CHANGE are on the way.

Doesn't anybody study history anymore? It was not that long ago that the same ideas were floating around congress during the Carter years. Anyone remember the odd even gas days and the long lines at the pumps because of the government forced oil shortages of the 70's Among other mistakes from that period, the government increased the taxes levied on domestic oil producers, as if that would somehow help. The result was “reduced domestic oil production from between 3 and 6 percent, and increased oil imports from between 8 and 16 percent.” The government also instituted price controls, which only served to create the notorious gas shortages of that era. Yes, price controls meant consumers could get cheaper gas — but only after waiting in long gas lines and only if stations didn’t run out first.

I have to admit it is far more refreshing to hear someone actually putting forth a plan to do SOMETHING rather than just harping on all that is wrong with Washington. Politicians is what is wrong with Washington perhaps it is time we elect a common JOE to the office of President someone who actually knows what it is like to try to live with all these lawmakers' laws. Just my two cents worth.

Like everything else that brings money into the federal government this will never disappear. Perhaps we need to elect another Andrew Jackson as President! Taxing the rich to GIVE MONEY AWAY to those who do not work, refuse to work, are not able to work, or just feel they earned a hand out is not what government was set up to do. All this talk about cutting defense spending is only a smoke screen to keep our focus off of the REAL BUDGET sucker. Listen closely for that big sucking sound you hear coming from Washington is the sound of your hard earned money being sucked out of your pocket right into the pocket of someone who is not working.

HOLD ON TIGHTER to your wallets ladies and gentlemen the government has just told us HOW MUCH MONEY they are going to take from us. 3 trillion dollars. Now that is a lot of hamburgers. That is more than it would cost to buy a small country. HELL we could have bought IRAQ for that money. This is insane. If the government had to EARN that much money I wonder what the budget would look like then?
