The bible clearly states that when Jesus walked the earth he healed many of "every affliction". The early disciples have recorded in the bible of people who where healed and raised from the dead. Therefore it is or at least was a ministry preformed by both Jesus and his early disciples. The main focus of Jesus' ministry as well as the early disciples was the 'preaching of the kingdom of God' and not the ministry of healing. Healing came as a result of seeking Jesus or the kingdom of God. Like this article states Jesus did warn of many false prophets who would arise preforming miracles in attempts to mislead and deceive. It was interesting to read in this article that of all the people who were reportedly healed at this 'revival' Mr Bentley only produced a list of 15 people who could verify such healing. And yet thousands have attended the revival. Personally I believe God can heal anyone if He chooses to but the bible says 'Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousne

POPSSinner Sues Bible Manufactor Might as well line up and join the suit since the bible condemns adultery as well. So if you are or have been divorced by a wife because of Adultery you might as well sue Nelson. After all if the bible did not speak against adultery well then there would not have been any grounds for the divorce. It is all God's fault after all.

POPSSalad Bar Christianity This is just another example of a man-made god. Taking the parts we like from all religious practices and mixing them together to form a hodgepodge of beliefs that Jesus warned against. Jesus declared unashamedly that he was the way the truth and the life not just one of many. Man loves to remake God into their own image, changing the absolute rightness of God for a rightness that suits each individual. The salad bar analogy works good here because the tendency of people is to take what they like and leave what they do not like. Most times it is the food that is best for us that we leave on the salad bar.

POPSThe Bible according to Pelosi Some may not care if a leader of our country spouts off made-up biblical utterances but to me this just shows the dire dirth of knowledge present on capital hill. They call them misstatements but in reality they are lies plain and simple. No attempt is made by these 'leaders' to search out truth they just continually spout out falsehoods after falsehoods and the American people seem to just give them a pass. I am not the smartest bird in the nest but this eagle can spot a doo doo bird simply enough. No wonder they became extinct. Perhaps we should send some of these congresspersons the way of the doo doo bird into oblivion.

POPSBible Stories Bastardized by Anglican vicar Okay correct me if I am wrong here but if these stories are so important that an new generation needs to hear them then why must we rewrite them and turn them into some trashy dime store novel? I mean can we not tell the story the way it is? I do not mind so much when some atheist insists on rewriting or interpreting the biblical stories of our faith from their perspective but when a member of the church decides to bastardize these sacred stories then I say ENOUGH ALREADY!

POPS25% of American Teen girls has an STD I guess passing out condoms in school is not helping to educate our young people about the hazards associated with recreational sex. The article goes on to deride abstinence teaching as incomplete. Perhaps what we really need to teach these young people is the sinfulness of recreational sex. The bible calls this fornication. Society calls it recreation.

POPSSin by any other name Interesting how culture changes ones perspective. The things the bible calls sin does not seem to make the top 10 list. I guess the reason for that is most churches do not preach about sin anymore. So then society is left to it's own devises to come up with respectable behavior.

POPSScriptures are now an amusement park attraction How sad it is to once again see the sacred word of God being depicted as an amusement park attraction. Once was not enough now apparently it is fashionable to create amusement parks in the name of Christianity. I guess this really should not be so surprising considering a good bit of televised religion is nothing more then infomercials and religious entertainment anyway. Perhaps the churches should start charging admission to get inside to witness the great adventures of God up close and personal. Why not just turn the church houses into museums or tourist attractions?

Why wouldn't the President of all people send a greeting from the GOD of all people? Jesus did not come to save just Christians He came to save all mankind. That includes the Muslims, Jews, Greeks, Atheists, Deists and any other religious or secular group of people in the world. To me it only makes sense that the universal God should be presented all of mankind considering that is what Christmas really is all about. God sent the very first Christmas card when He sent His son to be born in a manager. Emmanuel God is now with man. All men whether they believe in Him or not He still loves them and still reaches out to them.

POPSWhat does the Bible say about angels? I don't think most people understand the true nature of angels or their purpose...or that there are more bad angels on Earth than good ones. Satan's forces are predominantly earthbound and this is His domain for now...so it's only natural that his angels abound here. An angel can't be in two places at once...and more in this article.
