If the PCUSA is no longer going to stand for biblical principles then they no longer need to be supported by members who do not support such iniquity. It would appear that the Rev Wright and his radical anti-white capitalist rantings was not at all out of the ordinary for Obama after all. I may not be the smartest bird in the forest but I can surely discern the obvious. Obama attends a church that preaches against WHITE American, sits on a board with a man who is unabologetic about bombing American buildings, and now we find him associated with a bunch of nuts (acorns are nuts). We are rapidly heading into a time when the inmates are going to be running the asylum. We need to get the NUTS out of politics not vote them in.

POPSBible Stories Bastardized by Anglican vicar Okay correct me if I am wrong here but if these stories are so important that an new generation needs to hear them then why must we rewrite them and turn them into some trashy dime store novel? I mean can we not tell the story the way it is? I do not mind so much when some atheist insists on rewriting or interpreting the biblical stories of our faith from their perspective but when a member of the church decides to bastardize these sacred stories then I say ENOUGH ALREADY!

Churches are becoming less and less relevant in today's fast moving society. There are so many other forces at work on an average family that finding time for church is not high on the list of things to do today. In addition church attendance is not a high priority on most peoples goals and future planning. What say you?

POPSRantings of a Racist When pushing an agenda facts are not important, the only thing that matters is putting forth arguments to support ones own agenda. That can be said on both sides of any issue. In the case of the Wright Reverend Jeremiah it is easy to see from the bulletin from the church which issue is of utmost importance to him. Be sure to read the Pastor's page portion and you will see President Bush is to blame for all the ills of mankind, not sin. A preacher of righteousness would acknowledge that all men are sinners not just a particular race or color. In fact the wat in Iraq is blamed for homelessness in New Orleans. The last time I checked the major of New Orleans was a, let me see, black man. It would appear from reading just this one bulletin that the Wright Reverend Jeremiah is not so right when it comes to putting forth truth. Unless of course facts do not matter.

Even though the majority of the student body elected by vote to have prayer at their graduation it would appear the soar losers turned to the courts to overturn an election. This sounds familiar to me. Where else do we see losers resorting to legal rulings to get their way?

POPSScriptures are now an amusement park attraction How sad it is to once again see the sacred word of God being depicted as an amusement park attraction. Once was not enough now apparently it is fashionable to create amusement parks in the name of Christianity. I guess this really should not be so surprising considering a good bit of televised religion is nothing more then infomercials and religious entertainment anyway. Perhaps the churches should start charging admission to get inside to witness the great adventures of God up close and personal. Why not just turn the church houses into museums or tourist attractions?

POPSGod for SALE to the HIGHEST BIDDER This reminded me of a story I heard someone say about a local mega church meeting they attended. The story went something like this, They were upset because all during the service these slides where shown on the front of the church which contained advertisements for different things. It was sorta like this worship service is brought to you by these local sponsors. I guess it was just a matter of time before we have naming rights to the church house. They used to sell pews in the church years ago so now instead they will be selling seat licenses I guess. Or naming rights to the seating area. I guess nothing is really new because we have memorial gifts where people who have left money to the church have their SPONSORSHIP displayed on the walls and doors and chandeliers and chair backs even the bibles. No wonder we are loosing the culture war we have sold out to the goddesses of Wall Street.

POPSWhat to do with a Transgender Pastor? There is much error in our church institutions today. As an institution the church has been taking on the appearance of the society in which it was supposed to stand in contrast too. Instead of taking on the appearance of Jesus Christ himself the church has been taking on the garments of the fallen society that Jesus came to save. The Church of Christ is supposed to different from the world, set apart for the purpose of promoting Christ and His kingdom. Oh how far we have fallen. The church as a whole needs to repent and return to Christ and become Christlike not worldlike.

POPSAre Homosexuals Born that way? No matter what the sin is we are all responsible for our actions before God. To say the devil made me do it of I can't help myself does not negate our responsibility before God to live righteously in an unrighteous world. How then are we to live? What is required of each of us? It would appear in our society where the victim mentality runs rampant we have a tendency to dismiss all our foibles and fallacies on forces beyond our control. It is true that there are forces at work in our lives we may not be aware of but that does not excuse us when we behave badly. Accepting the fact that we are LOST without hope without a savior is the first step in living rightly in an mixed-up world. Turn towards Christ and away from sin and you shall live.

POPSFinally a church for anyone and everyone sinners most welcomed Jesus did say whosoever will may come but He also said you must loose your life in order to save it, He also said you must take up your cross and follow Jesus. He also said that your right living should exceed the right living employed by the pharasees. He said that you must be born again, have a change of heart and everything would be made new. Remaining as you are when you come is not what Jesus had in mind when He died on the cross. IF there was no need for a CHANGE on one's manner of living then Jesus wasted a whole lot of time coming to earth and allowing Himself to be put to death for it was not neccessary, all we need to do is LOVE EVERYONE even the evil ones and all will be well.
