Even Dems Do not want another Clinton in the White House
Eaglewings
by Eaglewings  5-8-2008    13
It would appear to a casual observer that the Democrats had decided on a nominee long before the election process got started. Changing state primaries to an earlier date to get Obama off to a quick start and disallowing two major states like Florida and Michigan seems to me to be an attempt to rig an election. The whole democrat process of nominating a candidate seems to me to be a bit shady. Super delegates are there to do just that DECIDE on a candidate regardless of the voters wishes. Wasn't it the Democrats who in 2000 were crying about ALL VOTES counting in Florida? And now the same people are crying that Florida votes do not count? Does this mean Obama would be an illegitimate candidate? After all he does not have enough delegates to have actually won, therefore someone is going to MAKE him win. Me thinks Ms Pelosi wants to be the Big Mamma in charge. Perhaps there is not enough room in the democrat kitchen for 2 women. What say you?

Washington Post misrepresents reasons for food cost rising.
Eaglewings
by Eaglewings  5-1-2008
Truth be damned! Once again our biased media can not get the facts right concerning a topic as important as the rapid increase in food costs. The Post blames it on everything from global warming to less crop production none of which is proven by the actual facts. In fact the biggest contributor to the rapid increase in world food prices may just be the 40% increase in the fuel costs to produce and transport the food products around the world. All other indicators would seem to indicate that a drop in food prices would be in order. However it is costing the farmers more to produce and ship the product thus adding to the bottom line, (the price charged at the actual consumer). I believe if they were to admit that fact they would also have to admit that the more you tax an operation the MORE it will cost the consumer in the end. I know they do not want to state that.

Questions Requiring Anwers of Evolutionists
Eaglewings
by Eaglewings  4-29-2008    112
Thoughtful scientists ponder questions such as these and arrive at their hypotheses and then experiment to prove or disprove those hypotheses. Therefore I am calling on all evolutionists to ponder these points of fact and offer us some answers. Care to tackle this experiment?

Expelled the movie Expelled from public debate?

Could it be true that proponents of Darwinism are militant in their views? Could it be any opposition to this THEORY is being met with violence and censure? Who is more vocal about their religion anyway, the Darwinists or the Christian? Makes one scratch their head in wonderment.

Broken Homes breaking the economic bank
Eaglewings
by Eaglewings  4-20-2008    2
Perhaps we are not willing to look at the real cost of broken homes. Being a product of a broken home myself I can personally state the high price I had to pay as a result of being raised in a fatherless home. The emotional scars and damage caused by the harmful effects of a parent leaving were hard to overcome. I am unable to calculate the actual financial cost the broken home had on myself but I can say for a surety that it certainly had an ill effect on it. Now I am not saying to anyone to stay in a dangerous relationship but too many marriages are destroyed for no other reason then selfishness and unforgiveness. It is no better for the Christian home than it is for the non-Christian household it would appear. Perhaps we need to spend more time and energy on making ourselves better spouses than trying to fix our 'better half'?

The 7 habits of highly effective propagandists
Aribeth
by Aribeth  4-20-2008    9
citing a qualified source is a good way to emphasize a legitimate idea. But you should consider whether or not the source being cited is really qualified to make judgments about a particular issue. 5. PLAIN FOLKS The “Plain Folks” technique is at work whenever a speaker promotes the idea that he or she is “of the people,” just an Average Joe despite the fact that he or she may go home to a mansion at the end of the day. 6. CARD STACKING “Stacking the deck” is a gimmick used by magicians where a deck of cards appears to be randomly shuffled but is in fact arranged in a specific way. The IPA borrowed the term to describe a technique where only one side of a topic is favored, or another side is ignored or played down. 7. BANDWAGON The idea behind the Bandwagon technique is that, since everyone else is doing it, so too should you.

Sin by any other name
Eaglewings
by Eaglewings  3-17-2008    2
Interesting how culture changes ones perspective. The things the bible calls sin does not seem to make the top 10 list. I guess the reason for that is most churches do not preach about sin anymore. So then society is left to it's own devises to come up with respectable behavior.
