I don't believe that Jesus would approve of such torture nor have a reason to torture. Many fundamentalist Christians feel they have a moral obligation to carry out such attacks. I believe in spirituality, which for me includes The United Church Of Christ, Liberal Quakerism, Orthodox Quakerism, mystisism and earth based reverance that celebrates God's creation. I see nothing wrong with being an Eclectic Christian or Christo Pagan. The combining of the spiritual outweighs the formalities of following rigid laws that Jesus taught were impossible to keep to obtain God's grace.

I do not worship these heavenly beings but believe they are part of God's creation and assigned to be with us through difficult times and all times. Each plays a different role in our lives. I have reverence for the earth and feel the materials of the earth are placed here by a superior being for us to incorporate into our faith based practices and religious rituals. This is pure ignorance and hate! I don't want to turn everybody away from Christianity, as there are many congregations that do have the policy of 'open and affirming'. POPSTeaching hate - Proof ignorance exists among parents This photo and others like it make me very angry. Anger towards the parents that are using their children to promote hate and intolerance. Bigotry and hate are yet alive and well in our society and we need to ban together to aid in eliminating it. The photo is sad. The photo is a lie. I can hear Jesus now saying, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." And I am sure that these children have no clue what they are depicting by wearing these (rags) shirts.
