    Apple building a Kindle clone?
    David M Ewalt
    by David M Ewalt  3-11-2009
I hope if this is true Amazon and Apple find some way to co-exist -- it would be terrible to have some publishers work with Apple and some with Amazon. Both stores should have the same books, in the same format -- let the companies compete on the hardware front.

This sort of app might help sell kindles, too -- i'd be more likely to want one if i could trade books back and forth between devices.

    iTunes Eats Amazon's Lunch
    David M Ewalt
    by David M Ewalt  12-15-2008

    Amazon Launches Text Message Shopping
    David M Ewalt
    by David M Ewalt  4-2-2008
Amazon's been really impressing me lately -- it's really smart for them to make it possible for people to buy from them with any device. In practice, TextBuyIt sounds a little awkward, and will probably never be a huge revenue stream. But if consumers know they can buy from Amazon anytime anywhere, they're far more likely to make the company their primary shopping outlet.

    Amazon Buys Audible
    David M Ewalt
    by David M Ewalt  1-31-2008
Amazon is really becoming a force in the audio business. Last year they launched their MP3 music store, and they've been building on it ever since. The company is really starting to pose a major threat to the dominance of Apple's iTunes music store.
