More Red-Baiting of Obama: The "Socialist" Joker
    DanaGarrett
    by DanaGarrett  8-3-2009    1
Here we have yet another demonstration of lablelling substituting itself for critical thought. Obama gets red-baited once more. It's a pity that Tyler Nixon at Delaware Libertarian isn't an artist because if he were he could do an image of Obama as a fascist, something he labeled the President in a recent post: http://tinyurl.com/nq7bjn Thoughtful criticism must be difficult for these people.

Jill Biden, the L.A. Times & Me
    DanaGarrett
    by DanaGarrett  8-27-2008
I used to work with Jill Biden at the Rockford Center many moons ago. The LA Times found out about it and contacted me. Jill Biden, Senator Joe Biden's wife, is one of the most authentic human beings I have ever had the pleasure to meet and, as is naturally attendant with authenticity, one of the kindest.

    It's Joe!

Barack Obama chose Sen. Joe Biden from Delaware as his running mate from Delaware. I'm from Delaware and I couldn't be more proud. Biden is an excellent choice and one that arguably suggests that Obama looked to the quality of the candidate instead of any electoral college advantage by choosing someone from the 2nd smallest state in the nation. Besides his long and distinguished expertise in foreign affairs, Biden adds rhetorical abilities to the ticket that are only matched by Obama himself. By choosing Biden, Obama has shown extreme confidence in himself. Not even someone with the rhetorical and political skills of Joe Biden can upstage Obama. Moreover, this ticket is probably one the smartest in US history, a welcome relief to the reign of idiocracy of 8 years of the George Bush administration.

    Commercial Bankruptcies Rise Sharply
    DanaGarrett
    by DanaGarrett  7-20-2008
Most of the bankrupt & closed businesses are among the 23 million small businesses. That demonstrates how the Bush economic plan was geared only to the very elite & wealthy sliver of the corporate economy . That accords with other statistics indicating it has only been the ultra wealthy that have have done well during the Bush economy.

    McCain Redbaits Obama

Taking a page from Joe McCarthy and Delaware Republican ex-blogger Dave Burris, John McCain decided the best way to attack his opponent is to suggest that he is a socialist. Usually such suggestions result from political desperation and extreme intellectual need.

Oh, Look Everyone, Sen. Thurman Adams is Being Open
    DanaGarrett
    by DanaGarrett  1-15-2007
As everyone knows in Delaware that follows local politics, no one has opposed open government more in the Delaware Legislature than Sen. Thurman Adams. My blog Delaware Watch provides ample evidence for the claim. But notice how Adams covers up for the fact that he won't allow anyone to comment at Atkins' confirmation hearing by pointing out that unlike before the public can mutely witness the hearing. Apparently, for Adams, denying Delawareans a voice in their own government isn't tyrannical as long as they can experience it personally on site in the Delaware Legislature. We are supposed to be grateful to him for this? What has he been smoking?
