POPSThe tear that almost changed the world... and still might. Here we see a rare moment of Hillary Clinton speaking from the heart. Regardless of what you think of her, or her politics, it's a wonderful example. Here we can see how compelling emotions and the feeling of something genuine from a speaker can be. Much has been said about this moment in Hillary's campaign. Some say that this was manufactured. I'm not so sure. It worked too well for her not to have repeated the same technique in other races. (Hillary came from behind to win New Hampshire - a critical state in the primary race.) Later in the clip you can also see the moment when she disconnects from being out in a relational way with her audience and goes back to being "on message". Notice the effect this has on you as an audience member.
