German restaurant replaces waitstaff with computers
    Caleythia
    by Caleythia  8-30-2007
I could see it working as a niche kind of thing, especially if you just want a quick bite at a quirky place. But, in general, I'll keep my waiters and waitresses, thanks.

Computer Program Has Finally Learned How to Win at Draughts
    Caleythia
    by Caleythia  7-19-2007
I can't imagine the programming that went into making this, nor how large the data for the program must be. To think, it knows the correct play for every possible move.

A computer to drive your dog crazy
    Caleythia
    by Caleythia  2-28-2007
The cuteness factor of this thing is astronomical. A cat computer with built in monitor? And it can actually walk and meow? My question is: what happens when your live dog/cat sees this thing as an interloper?

    USB Shot Glass
    Caleythia
    by Caleythia  2-22-2007
Wow, online drinking. What will they think of next? Really though, this isn't any different from drinking alone, except it adds the pressure of having to pound your shots. It also seems that it would a bit awkward. You have to drink from a glass that is tethered to your computer. I see a lot of spills occurring.

A 12-Gigabyte Hard Drive That Slips Easily Into Your Pocket

Technology is amazing. I remember my clunky old 20 gig USB drive that took up a great deal of space on my desk.
