POPSReligion in Space This raises some interesting questions. i can't say I've seen these sort of problems addressed in any of the sci-fi books I've read. How people of all faiths solve dilemmas like this will be interesting to watch for.

POPSBrain to Control Games Directly, Maybe Vice Versa More info at the source. I find this really, really cool. However, as much as I love video games, it seems like a waste. I can only imagine what they can do with this technology (aside from using it to help quadriplegics, as it explains in the article), and it just seems frivolous to use it for video games. What do you all think?

POPSHuman-animal Embryo Ruling Due I'm of two minds on this. I'm all for research of this sort, especially for such a devastating disease as Parkinson's. On the other hand, this freaks me out in an Island of Dr. Moreau sort of way. Perhaps I've just read too much sci-fi.

POPSRidley Scott to Make Monopoly Movie Scott was the director of Alien, Gladiator and Hannibal, among others. I wonder how his experience with gritty, serious movies will translate to Monopoly. he claims it will be family friendly. The whole idea i just odd.

POPSNew Study Finds Why Skinny People Don't Like Fat People I don't buy it at all. Most people don't have a natural tendency to mock or make fun of visiblly ill people, and wouldn't that be the case if what these researchers say is true. This just strikes me as a justification for prejudice against and the unfair treatment of the overweight. "It's not my fault I made fun of Bill. It's my brain."

POPSOffice Printers are "Health Risk" It's pretty much a given: on any given day, some news source will have an article about what scientists have just discovered is bad for us. Apparently, office equipment won't be spared this treatment. I do wonder if I can use this at my office. "I'm sorry, I can't print out your 200 page manuscript for you. It's bad for my lungs." I don't think my boss would go for it.
