chestnut, saw this article today on India - The Indian government is considering rewriting a law drafted more than 100 years ago that criminalises homosexuality. The legislation was drafted by Lord Macaulay in 1860 during British colonial rule. How awful is that.

The Stonewall Inn, in New York's West Village, is still in operation today — both as a bar and as a beacon to gay people.
