egoldstein says: I hope you enjoy the new site!! Yay! Nice job, everyone. it's coming...derek is uploading now Okay, I'll give a break to my F5 now. OK, you can resume f5'ing... The new site is up and running. I hope everyone likes it! yay! it's great! C Congratulations guy's, it's awesome. Def. going to be making headlines! Nice job. Yes, like the new site! I really am slow!! I just clipped mine!! Awesome job, you guys! Phenomenal job!!! Looks - MUCH BETTER! Functionality - MUCH IMPROVED! Ease-of-Use - IMPROVED! Drawback - nothing done to address the addiction issues described by so many before... maybe in another release... Seriously though - MAJOR KUDOS TO CM TEAM!!!!!!! Excellent; I go away for a bit and encounter goodies upon my return! Looking forward to exploring! WOOT! Yes, RS, perhaps the next version will have some sort of antedote? Now I actually want this on my TV, car, blackberry, Ipod, flash drive, and anywhere and everywhere I go. Oh yes, I'm already getting it in my dreams, so don't worry about that. Well done. I'll cover this on my blog soon. Nice job. UI is excellent. Thank you for the hard work your team has put into this. As usual, a very good job. Thanks to you all, Clipmarks team! I think the new design looks wonerful! Keep up the good work! Only 2,000 characters... What's a character? The redesign provides a more dynamic media experience!!! I miss the page numbers but thumbs up for everything else. Pwright8, a character is a single text unit (which could be a letter, punctuation mark, or space). E.g. your question: Only 2,000 characters... What's a character?including spaces is 45 characters long. Nice job guys!!! Its looks and runs great!!! homerun! this looks awesome-- never looked better! cosmetically i love the update, awesome, but functionally, i'm a little sad. This only involves the act of clipping. I've found it to be slow and sometimes not even responsive. (post update) Is there a new clipping tool? How do I update? nevermind rainfever, there definitely should not be any delays in clipping as a result of this upload. honestly, nothing we did could have affected the clipping response time. if you don't mind, please shoot me an email when you get a chance and let me know if this continues. you can get the latest version of clipmarks by clicking "install" in the header (i guess willhelm realized that at around 9:48pm Geekette>a character is a single text unit (which could be a letter, punctuation mark, or space). So, does that mean that clips can contain any amount of data as long as that data isn't text? eg html markup, images, etc. eg this link contains a lot of bytes but only four units of text Yes, that is how it currently works. Lovely Can we delete those huge debug amplify log files that are generated in our Clipmarks program folders? If it was just a one time thing i'd save them, but they are getting bigger I have one that's a 89mb log file, and I get one each time I visit. Or are they needed in some way to use the clip service? I'd imagine since you don't have to even have the program to visit the site that if we delete them it would be okay, or does it effect our ability to edit the clips? Those log files started showing up as huge fragmented files. It is also very difficult to save to blinklist now. I've had my browser hung quite a bit by trying to save to outside bookmarks. So I flushed out my system and tr... Yes, you can definitely delete those files. They are strictly so that I can see where it breaks when it breaks and were not meant to be in the release version. I apologize for that and I will have a new version up later tonight that you can download that will not generate those files. FYI for anyone reading this, it is only the Internet Explorer version that does this. Clipmarks for Firefox is not affected. OK, the new non log file generating version of clipmarks for internet explorer is available for download. The version number has not changed, so you will need to uninstall first. Thank you, that was very quick and efficient, I might add this diamond has lost it's shine. Willhelm - agreed. I love everything here except "A place to rapidly absorb....."...can't this be shortened?? |
