I was reading an interview in which Chick Lit authors were as asked if they thought the term Chick Lit was condescending. Meg Cabot wrote,

I don't think the term is as bad as Dick Lit, which is what Nick Hornsby writes.

I had never heard the term "Dick Lit" before, so I had to look it up.

I've never heard that either. I also think chick lit is demeaning.

the term, not the books in the "genre."

Nick Hornsby kind of sucks, though, anyhow. Is it bad to say that?
