                                                            Brussels, Dec 21 (Xinhua) A new interim Belgian government was officially sworn-in Friday, ending the six-month political crisis in the country, the local media reported.<P></P>The interim government, led by Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, will be in office until March 23 to address urgent social and economic issues neglected during the political crisis.<P></P>Belgian politics has been at a near standstill since the parliamentary elections June 10.<P></P>Coalition talks collapsed twice due to disagreements between the Flemish and the Wallonian parties on the distribution of power and wealth between Dutch-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia.<P></P><BR /><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color="#999999">(c) Indo-Asian News Service</FONT>
