Jdfodio says: Let's see if that makes a difference in 2008. I'm predicting right now on May 4, 2008 that there will be another Florida or Ohio-type hang-up in some other major state. Hopefully, in 2008, we can start trusting our own election results again... I predict this: If the democrats win you will say that finally in 2008 you could start trusting your election results again. If the republicans win you will say they stole the election using nefarious methods. I actually hate the fact that either party supported the use of these horrible machines. They were far from tamperproof and left no paper trail. Both sides should be held accountable for any vote tampering (which there has been on both sides) and the American public needs to be able to trust the voting system. I think the difference is that there are so many various volunteers from the community that are represented by each party (even 3rd parties), so no one thinks any funny business is going on in counting the votes. Let's look at the 1996 presidential election, for example. Going into his ... Oh and yeah!! My clip was featured in Clipiversity today. Thanks for letting me know that, ericskiff! |
