Being narrow-minded means deciding once and for all that whatever you think is wholly true and not opening your mind to any other opinion. Whether you are liberal or conservative, democratic or republican, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you open yourself to the opinions of others, even if you do not agree with them, and consider the possibility that you, or they, may have the wrong idea. You have to take what you know, decide on what you think, and then constantly re-evaluate your opinions when you receive new information to decide if you actually agree with what you have decided. This does not mean that to be open-minded you have to change your ideas every time you learn new information, but it does mean that you have to be willing to consider another perspective.</p> <DIV class="reply"> <A href="#">Reply to this comment</A> </DIV> </DIV></blockquote></div><div style="margin: 0px 6px 6px 4px;"><table style="font-size: 11px;border-spacing: 0px;padding: 0px;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr><td style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;"> </td><td align="right" style="background:transparent;border-width:0px;padding:0px;width:107px" width="107"><a href="http://clipmarks.com/share/FE51E5D4-4D4C-4B38-8AF1-62045CD6574B/blog/" title="blog or email this clip"><img src="http://content9.clipmarks.com/images/c2b-foot.png" border="0" alt="blog it" width="107" height="17" style="border-width:0px;padding:0px;margin:0px;" /></a></td></tr></table></div></div>
