Electric Universe Theory is not a conspiracy theory. Most people are unaware that matter in the plasma state is estimated to represent 99.99% of all visible matter in space. Plasma is defined as matter which has some percentage of mobile electrons and protons. This means that it conducts electricity, and we have decades of laboratory plasma physics experiments that testify to this fact. However, little of this was understood at the time that our current astrophysical theories were evolving, and mainstream astrophysicists instead assert that laboratory plasma results do not apply to our space observations. In an attempt to update our understanding of the universe and resolve numerous anomalous space observations, a small group of scientists called Electric Universe Theorists are proposing an alternative view of how the universe works and how it came to be. Their theory is compellingly detailed in Don Scott's recent publication, "The Electric Sky", for which this video makes a great introduction.

Make no mistake about it though -- this is an against-the-mainstream theory. But it's a debate that needs to happen because our understanding of global warming is entirely dependent upon our understanding of how the Sun works. It is a fact that the Sun is warming and scientists do not really have any traditional mechanisms to explain why. If we do not understand the Sun, then how can we understand weather here on Earth? Not only this, but at the same time, we have data that suggests that *all* of the planets are warming too. If this is more than just coincidence, as we have an obligation to investigate, then we should suspect an external power source. Filamentary plasmas are one of the few known mechanisms that can account for energy transfers over great distances.
