Good news for the nearsighted, but not so good for those who are farsighted.* Guess we all should try hard to stay mentally active. Fortunately I find that clipping and writing remarks & comments is mentally stimulating! (for me, anyway )

Gingembre you've got it backwards. Farsighted is the inability to see things up close, nearsighted is the inability to see things far away. Then those of us nearsighted people who are over 40 whose arms for some mysterious reason have gotten shorter, have both conditions--thus bifocals were invented by one Ben Franklin. Clipping, writing remarks and doing Suduko helps me.

Thanks, Satchamo. See, I'm already getting too addle-brained to pay attention and am thinking backasswards. I guess I should be pleased to be nearsighted instead of farsighted. Unfortunately my near vision is declining over time, too. Sigh.
