blackdove78 says: Sums up my answer to theists. Quite true, there are so many different gods which one is real. I think there is definitely is no god or gods. All the religions are in basic near enough the same, all have the same sort of context I would say it is extremely suspicious that all religions have the same sort of basis for their religion. Religion is THE biggest mistake of mankind. Religions have similar makeups because most have the aim of suppressing the people and then enslaving them, if not physically then psychologically. Religion is like communism - it might work if the power brokers could control their vices. Whether God exists or not is a silly reason to argue. What about the benefits that a religion, when well taught, can do to elevate those who practice? There is more to faith than whether a deity exists or not. It's even sillier to argue whether one is better than the other. Such arguments dismiss the whole point of being part of a religion, to improve one's life and the lives of those we know. Some people need a structure, some don't. That's the difference between theists and atheists. |
