This article sheds light on the level of control which certain countries have over our media. Such an aggressive attack on another country would normally be headlines all over the world. Yet this was not.

So bearing this in mind, in the world of opposites we only get the news that is authorised. Therefore it stands to reason that all major news outlets are controlled at a high level otherwise this event would have been common knowledge.

In the article, it is stated that the media blackout was to ensure that tensions are not raised within the middle east. Does this mean that the opposite is true? That when we hear news from the middle east it is meant to generate fear?
