Some punk driving in or through Woodfin, NC hit a bear-cub, sadening its mother to the point that she tried several times to get to her cub; and then the local police stopped highway traffic so she could get to the cub. This is by far the saddest story I have read in a while.

If they find the person responsible they'll probably just get a slap on the wrist. So sad.
