No doubt computers have raised the level of aviation security, but at the same time, it opens up a lot of vulnerabilities. I am scared of flying and the mere thought of putting my life in the hands of an unknown pilot is bad enough, but to trust computers with my life? Hmm... Before this plane hits the tarmac, I sure hope they get the right mixture of software vs humans in place. Doesn't this fill you with confidence? And how do we know they will spend the money necessary to fix it properly. See? Homeland SEcurity is realy a JOKE. This is when you really need a homeland security like organization to really really assure us that it is safe to fly. Not making us take off our shoes at every turn and telling us we can't have carry on luggage. Mere window dressing. How stupid could they be to NOT have separate computer systems ... one for public and one for the plane? Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!! Absolute idiots. This has got to figure somewhere in the Darwin awards surely? Or does someone actually have to hijack and crash it first? If the software was designed by µsoft, I'm never setting foot on a 787! |
