I wrote this extension. Either you can download it as a grease monkey script for firefox or wait for my extension to be approved on mozilla site.

Not sure what you mean by "swipe", but nothing I've tried has produced a preview

Ok, strangely, it just suddenly started working, after being enabled for over an hour. But, I ended up disabling it because it seriously bogged down my browser.

Good idea, but seems to need some more work. I have a lot of extensions and GM scripts installed, so maybe a conflict is the issue.

I have updated the script to work with Ctrl+click instead of "swipe".

I have also added one more feature for quickviewing any text (not just links).

Do let me know if this improves the performance.

I am looking to get some alpha release testing.
