masbury says: Better get 'em on the table and get it over with. Show some balls, Obama. Get those photos out in the open so the crimes can be addressed, and gotten past. Don't repeat Bush's errors; learn from them. Why are they so worried about "provoking a storm of outrage if released"? We are already outraged about what Bush and company did and what Obama and company refuse to do. What's a little more outrage among the general public? They will ignore us for this one too. So much for US Justice huh? Now if that had happened to US citizens!!! Wowwweeeeee! THAT is why they don't want the prisoners who were tortured living on US soil and are asking other countries to accept them? I despise torture, I have experianced torture and I firmly believe it has no place in our society but I find it hard to believe that rapists would allow anyone to be around during thier acts, let alone take photographs of the atrocity! Theres a bullshit factor to these mythical photographs. Lets not stoop to the same level as the right-wings propagating them. In case people don't know, many of the images Horton wrote about were published by Salon in 2006. http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2009/05/30/photos/index.html The point has already been made. It is War. So forgive and forget? |
