thisnamecantbetaken says: There are a few more fun things to be done in Europe, at the source. There's tons to do! Here in DK we have something called Sankt Hans Aften where we all head to the beach and build huge bonfires and burn funny effigies of witches on them and then we eat way too much and get way too drunk. It's a lot of fun. Here's the posh song mentioned in the link, we try to sing (a tradition), but we're usually too drunk and it ends up a total travesty. We are just SO cultured here. *Enjoy* "We Love Our Country" Interesting. Well done again, TNCBT, I hope it spreads the world needs a bit more fun and less jingoistic chest thumping. I had fun skiing in midnight sun and too much Lapplander Beer,, was not a game for new chums though, snow is not soft and fluffy to end up head first in hanging from your ski,s uphill ouch I was thinking, on Sankt Hans Aften, I wouldn't be surprised if you can see the burning outline of the whole of Denmark from space. That would be cool. The news said we'll be getting our first snow today. We just celebrated what we call "J day" here too. (J for Jul = Xmas) It's the day Tuborg releases this years Christmas BEER!!. It's strong, it's sweet, and it's a GREAT tradition too. *hiccup* I love culture. |
