As someone who has worn many sofas and welcomes out in his time I know that kind words, platitudes and advice are all well & good but they don't keep the weather off your back; or lift the weight from your shoulders. However, that is not going to stop me; have you checked out the ads at the back of "Private Eye" - you might be inspired to write one yourself. There is also a magazine called "The Lady" (I know) that advertises positions for companions; room & board in exchange for cooking, cleaning and just being someone to talk to. Psychologically speaking it can benefit you if y... One of the most important things to remember is that 'the centre cannot hold': times change - it is in the nature of things. It may seem like an age, it may get even worse but things tend to happen just when you think you can't take any more crap. Try to be ready and open for it; there is no dictator that can oppress us more comprehensively than our own minds.
