Gold is not only precious, but pure gold is also very, very soft. There's enough gold in the Earth's crust to cover the entire land surface knee-deep.

How about that. So, let's not lose our sleep over it any more than it deserves!

It deserves about a $1000 an ounce now. Which probably explains why people still risk their lives to find it.

My first year in the NT was at Docker River ( Kaltukatjara) which is supposed to be Lasseter's Reef country. There had been several expeditions, mostly organized by his son, and nothing found. Nothing likely to be either. Most say he say Uluru at sunset.
