It really is freaky. I have some friends who had to throw their bed away and have an exterminator come monthly for a while. What a pain.

I am still looking for an answer to the horrid lesions on my body. Not yet diagnosed, I saw the 6th doc yesterday, who took 2 biopsies. MY home is 'clean', as we all think our homes are, but I am seeing a pattern in my furniture of all things....knowing these little guys can climb up anything, there are small holes in our furniture, and a couple layers of my coffee table have lifted. Time now to consult first my home spray company, then an expert if they cannot tell me what these little black and some white bugs are that were not on the counter the night before. I have lesions in my ears, (I felt something go in my ear when I lay down one night to go to bed), and dealt with horrid ear pa...

Update if anyone cares.....The lesions are almost gone!!! I am human again!! The whole thing left me a bit scarred on the outside, but more on the inside of the whole experience. I think of what my poor son went through. I thanked him through tears, for putting up with me when I was so anxious I wasn't acting normally for me. What a special and empathetic young man he is.

</P><P>Nearly eradicated in the United States 50 years ago, resistant strains of 
"super" bedbugs are infesting mattresses at an alarming rate. In what's being 
touted as the biggest mystery in entomology, all 50 states are reporting 
outbreaks of the blood-sucking nocturnal critters.  
</P><P>Pest control companies nationwide reported a 71 percent increase in bedbug 
calls between 2000 and 2005. Left alone, a few bedbugs can create a colony of 
thousands within weeks.  
</P><P>"We never treated bedbugs until 2002. Now we have a dedicated bedbug crew 
working on this every day," said Luis Agurto, president of Pestec in San 
Francisco.
