I just don't get this whole "it's a conspiracy" position. A conspiracy to do what? Do they really think that all concerned people and legitimate climatologists are in the pay of some vast anti-oil cabal, or what? Just ridiculous (and unfortunately common) conservative paranoia I think.

Yassin, I think that was what the article points out. Those that are expert in the field are not in disagreement. I'm not an atmospheric chemist so I defer to those that are. At first there was denial that it even exists, now the denial is that human activity is the cause. It seems very much like the cigarette debate years ago. The difference is that there is so much more at stake here.

We read debates about Global Warming all the time. If we're wrong, then the only consequence will be a healthier planet with hopefully some other fuel sources in the future. The animals will be happier, people happier, etc.. But, If the deniers are wrong, then this beautiful planet that we live and breathe on, is what is at stake. We have the luxury of having them be wrong without doing something now.
