<P class="name">Michelle Steiner</p> To check the Time Capsule with Disk Utility, first click on the disk's icon under "Shared".  A folder will appear in the Finder window.
<P>Double-click on that folder, and a sparse bundle will appear.  Then run Disk Utility, and the sparse bundle should be in the left column along with the other volumes; the options for it are "First Aid" and "Restore"
</P><P>If you double-click on the sparse bundle before opening Disk Utility, it will mount, and you will see "Backup of &lt;disk name&gt;" in the left panel in the Finder window.  Then open Disk Utility; you will now see the backup volume listed under the sparse bundle.  If you now click on the sparse bundle, you will see two added options, "Erase" and "Partition".
</P><P>If you click on the backup volume, the options will be "First Aid", "Erase", and "Restore".
