That last one is the most powerful, because it is causing us to not consider an exit strategy. And by "us", I mean the Bush administration. You know how Americans hate to lose!

If we lost the Iraq war, we lost it in November 2006.

There's a name for that. It's called a vote of no confidence. Wise leaders take it to heart. I guess that's why we are escalating rather than planning otherwise.

Because our military should be run by mob rule instead of having a single commander in chief?

"Of the people, by the people, for the people."

The President, in his role as Commander in Chief is not a career military officer bowing to a mob, but rather the people's chosen leader (at least in theory, our mileage may vary in this case) acting at the behest of the people. One more log on the fire for the case of his fascist dictatorial delusions. In the face of our military leaders saying it isn't working, he wants to forge on, and dare even dreams of expanding the mess he's made.

And we pick our president once every four years. This past election was NOT a presidential election. Pelosi isn't the commander in chief. There is a reason we have one commander in chief and don't run by committee. When we start getting too many politicians trying to run the show we end up with nothing but failure. Of course, that is the democrat objective. There is no way they can allow success in Iraq. Failure is the only thing that will help them win.

Great grasp of the obvious you have there n2.

DOH! I didn't know that! WOW!!!!

When we start getting too many politicians trying to run the show we
end up with nothing but failure.
But when we follow a deluded self-serving fascist unwilling to bend to and serve the will of the people who, supposedly, elected him; one who fails in the execution of his oath and undermines what is the basic core of American values and tenents, we are of ...

I can go with the argument that the US didn't do the best job on how we entered the war, and I can also go along with there has been plenty of mismanagement along the way, however, I believe getting rid of Saddam was a good move, and will in the end lead to a more stable Middle East and reduce the threat of terrorism.

Remember, this war started when Saddam decided he didn't have to follow any of the demands set forth in the agreement with the UN. He refused inspectors looking for WMD.

The US and the rest of the coalition involvement is going to end, but not until we finish the job we started. When Iraq is able to govern and protect it's citizens then we can get out of there. I don't wan...
