I don't know if I agree with 100% of this (2 gigs of ram is a LOT), but these are probably good tips for getting your machine ready to handle vista without a hitch.

If you are an average computer user, just using it for email, music, and work you should have at least 120 Gigs. For people that like to watch movies, and have a huge music collection and like to record TV shows to their computer, I suggest going for the 250 Gigs, and for those that have a vast multimedia collection, 500 Gigs or even more is best.

This sounds way to much.

Footprint for Windows - is around 3gb.
With Office, Adobe Photoshop + Illustrator, Corel Draw, several media programs, assortment of utilities - add another 10gb
A few large games, Tomb Raider legend (7gb), Titan Quest (3 gb)
so this still only comes to 23 gb


TV programs - 22 episodes at 350mb per episod...
