From Breakthechain.org about this email: Since source is provided for these statistics, I turned to a series of Internet searches to see if I could find their origins. In the rare cases where an attribution was given, it ranged from a Seattle newspaper, to a St. Louis TV News program, to a New York sportsmen's club. None of these checked out. There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics. With just a little manipulation statistics can be used to "prove" damn near anything one wishes. An example: One can "prove" that a person standing with one foot in a pail of ice and the other foot in a pail of burning gasoline is on average quite comfortable. |
