AcesLucky says: This is faith. This is religion. This is why religion must never again rule. "Religion" was what got Jesus crucified, not Christianity. Who said anything about Jesus? And besides, the way I hear it, Jesus came to earth from heaven as part of the godhead "in order to be sacrificed" so that he (as his own father) could save us from himself (again as his own father). What would have happened if they had said "no, we refuse to kill, you" ?? ?? Would Jesus still be walking the earth trying to get people to kill him so we could all be saved from his father? And yet another failed prophesy? This is the nonsense that is faith that I am point out. It is belief in stupid things. And that's what happened in the above story. It's stupid. And this is why religion should never rule. It's the stupid things. Act 4:27 "For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. " You might want to do a little reading on the subject. There were more than 29 prophecies fulfilled concerning the death of Jesus some written more than a 1000 years before His birth. http://www.manavai.com/n_articles_p2.htm Doesn't that agree with what I already said? He came down "specifically" to be crucified (as other son-gods before him). More specifically, he came down from heaven to sacrifice himself to himself in order to save his own creation from himself. Brilliant! I was saying... about the stupid things? |
